A few changes have taken place at CADM this past month. Peter Dovnar has stepped down as President due to conflicts in his schedule. I will be taking over his role for the remainder of the year as President of CADM.

Winter is almost behind us. The days are getting longer, grass is starting to peek through the snow, and everything is thawing out. As we start to venture outdoors after being cooped up for so long, I hope you will consider attending the CADM events we have planned.

The Networking Committee has been hard at working providing valuable content for our members. Tim Calkins hosted an exciting night sharing his insights during the Super Bowl Ad Preview, and author Adam Holden-Bache just presented great ideas on “How to win at email Marketing”.

There is still time to sign up for our next networking meeting on March 8th, featuring a presentation on Content Marketing from Randy Hlavac.

Watch your email or check the CADM website to learn about more upcoming networking events.

Go Big. Win Local.

If you haven’t entered the Tempos yet, you have until March 9th to submit your work. There are multiple ways to showcase your marketing work — Channel, Sector, Craft, Specialty and Individuals. Our new categories are more aligned with the DMA Echo Award categories. Plus, all First Place Tempo winners will skip the first round when they are entered in the Echo Awards. A full list of categories is located on the CADM website.

If you need an extension, please contact Glenda Sharp at [email protected] or call 312-849-2236. The Tempo Awards will be on Thursday, June 21, 2018.

CADM needs your help.

CADM has a rich history of providing educational information, programming and events like the Tempos. Many of your fellow marketing professionals have dedicated their time to make sure this organization continues to thrive.

Today, we need your help to make sure that CADM continues to grow, and to provide mentorship to the next generation of direct marketers. We are seeking new committee members who will bring their experience and passion to give back to our marketing community. Without you, maintaining an organization like CADM is not possible.

Next year we will have board member positions open in Marketing, Education and Networking. If you would like to learn more on how you can get involved and provide leadership, please contact me at [email protected]

So spread the word about CADM, come to our events and bring a colleague or young marketing professional and encourage them to become a member. The continued support of members like you is what makes CADM such a great and vital organization.
