CADM’s fiscal year ends on July 31. As you receive this issue of adMarks, our focus will be on membership renewal efforts. If you haven’t already done so, please renew your membership today! You may handle this via cadm.org/membership, where you may renew online OR download an application to complete and return.

Here are a few highlights of this year’s accomplishments:

  • Recruited four additional Corporate Sponsors – SG360, Japs-Olson, Kitewheel, and PCH. A fifth new sponsor is in the works. Thank you to Marisa Marinelli and Susan Kryl for your leadership.  With our first year under the new membership model, we saw an increase of 67% year over year in event attendance and engagement
  • Rui Wang analyzed and indexed data on CADM’s MemberClicks (membership) and Constant Contact (email) data bases.
  • Under the leadership of Ruth Casanova and her team, redesigned CADM’s weekly email template.
  • Sponsored eight CADM Networking Events, including the book author series. Thank you to Tom Byrne for organizing them.
  • Extended our partnership with the Data & Marketing Association to begin offering discounted DMA courses and to collaborate on local marketing events.
  • Launched the new CADM Boot Camp educational series. Thank you to Rosann Bartle for putting together the series, as well as for organizing three CADM Webinars.
  • Once again, Brad Schwab spearheaded the Tempo Awards. Thank you to Susan Kryl for her leadership in organizing the individual awards, and organizing our distinguished out-of-town panel of judges. As I write this column, Brad, Casey Gold, Glenda Sharp and the Tempo team are finalizing plans for the July 13 Gala.
  • Delivered ten issues of adMarks to our members, thanks to Andy Gold, Marilyn Markle, Glenda Sharp and the folks at SG360.
  • A dedicated group of CADM members, led by Betsy Harman, came together this spring to reboot Direct From The Heart, CADM’s public service project serving Chicago’s nonprofits. Look for details this fall. Contact Betsy or Glenda if you would like to join the steering committee, serve as a mentor and/or volunteer as a speaker.

Finally, I would like to thank the CADM Directors for their input and vision over the past year. They participated in monthly conference calls and two live meetings, and all are dedicated to serving CADM’s members. And I am especially grateful to our Executive Committee members – Vice President Peter Dovnar and Immediate Past President Brad Schwab.

On a personal note, this is my last President’s Letter. Peter Dovnar will become CADM President at the August 10 Annual Meeting. I have enjoyed working with the Board, committees, and YOU, the entire CADM membership.

I look forward to seeing you at the Tempo Awards Gala on July 13, and the 62nd Annual Meeting on August 10.
